How PDF PowerKit handles your data

PDF PowerKit is designed for local PDF workflows on Windows. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app, optional accounts, subscriptions, and team features.

Last updated: June 12, 2026

1. Overview

Power CM Software provides PDF PowerKit, a Windows desktop application for opening, merging, splitting, extracting, signing, editing, protecting, compressing, exporting, and managing PDF documents.

The app is built around local-first document work. Core PDF operations are intended to run on your Windows device. Optional account, subscription, licensing, and team workspace features may use cloud services so the app can authenticate users, manage plans, synchronize workspace membership, and provide customer support.

2. Information We May Process

Depending on how you use PDF PowerKit, we may process these categories of information:

  • Account information: email address, display name, authentication identifiers, Google profile information such as avatar when you sign in with Google, local profile settings, plan, and subscription status.
  • Workspace information: workspace name, team identifier, owner/member roles, pending join requests, approvals, rejections, and membership status.
  • Billing information: plan selection, checkout status, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, renewal or cancellation status, invoices, and billing metadata. Full payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by PDF PowerKit.
  • Technical information: app version, platform, device/session identifiers, crash or diagnostic events, feature usage signals, and timestamps used to improve reliability, licensing, support, and abuse prevention.
  • Support information: messages, screenshots, files, or context you choose to send us when requesting help.

3. Local PDF Files and Document Content

PDF PowerKit is intended to process PDF files locally on your computer. Opening, viewing, merging, splitting, extracting pages, signing, editing, protecting, compressing, and exporting PDFs should not require uploading the document to Power CM Software servers.

If you choose to use a future or optional team-sharing feature, send a file to support, or use another feature that explicitly uploads or shares a document, that file or selected metadata may be transmitted only for the purpose you requested.

4. Accounts, Google Sign-In, Email Sign-In, and Subscriptions

You may use optional sign-in features to keep your account, profile, subscription, and team workspace available across sessions. Google Sign-In may provide your email address, name, and profile photo. Email/password sign-in uses authentication services to create and verify your account.

PDF PowerKit may offer free, Standard, and Pro Teams features. Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe. If you cancel a subscription, paid features may remain available until the end of the current billing period when applicable.

5. Service Providers

We use trusted providers to operate PDF PowerKit and related services:

  • Supabase: authentication, account records, workspace records, database services, storage when applicable, and secure session management.
  • Google: OAuth sign-in when you choose to authenticate with Google.
  • Stripe: checkout, customer portal, payment processing, invoices, taxes where applicable, and subscription lifecycle management.
  • Microsoft: Microsoft Store distribution, installation, package validation, platform services, and Store listing requirements.
  • Power CM Software hosting: public product pages, privacy policy, support pages, and related web content.
We do not sell personal information.

6. How We Use Information

We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve PDF PowerKit, including to authenticate users, remember local profile preferences, validate plan access, enable team workspaces, process subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, platform, and security obligations.

7. Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These safeguards may include secure authentication, access controls, provider security controls, encrypted transport, and limited access to operational systems.

Local files and settings may remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, or clear the relevant app data. Cloud account, workspace, billing, and support records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.

8. Your Choices

You can choose whether to sign in, use Google Sign-In, create an email/password account, subscribe to paid plans, join a workspace, or use local-only PDF tools. You may request help accessing, correcting, exporting, or deleting account-related information by contacting us. Some requests may be subject to identity verification, legal requirements, billing record retention, team ownership rules, and technical limitations.

9. Children

PDF PowerKit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of PDF PowerKit after an update means the updated policy applies to future use.
